atelier tnj is a project dedicated to slow handmade ceramics by interior architect Tanja Giampà.
Working with clay is a way to slow down and enter a meditative state where the focus is on the present moment. The process teaches her that learning and failing are needed in order to grow and to find the right solution. It is a journey about patience and finding beauty in imperfections that allows Tanja to express herself.
Our daily life and well-being are affected by the spaces we live in and the objects around us, as we can feel the energy that they hold. The focus of her work is to create everyday objects that can bring a sense of calm in the space around you and be part of your ritual to unwind and be in the present moment.
Her work has a minimalist aesthetic made of clean shapes and neutral colours. Each piece is made on the wheel or with hand building techniques in her studio in Zürich. That is why irregularities may occur but it is also what makes each object unique.
At the moment the ceramics are available only on request, you can simply write an email. The production may take up to 8 weeks.
